Spartan Tactical had another great opportunity last month to present our Tactical Shotgun Deployment Course in Mount Carroll, Illinois, and the weather was excellent, as over 16 students attended this high intensity course!
Topics focused on personal defense applications of the shotgun, dynamic movement and aggressive gun-handling skills that are necessary for conflict resolution. The course was very interesting this time around as the disparity of shotguns used in this class ranged from pump action and semi-automatic to the unique Saiga 12 gauge.
It was a learning experience for everyone as both students and instructors explored the strengths and weaknesses of the Saiga. In the end, we made the Saiga work and modified drills so it could compete with the rest of the conventional shotguns.
We're already looking forward to running this class again soon and will have several scheduled for our 2012 training season. Stay tuned for more information and check our training schedule page for class updates.

Action Target is proud to announce that they will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their Law Enforcement Training Camp (LETC) September 12th - 16, 2011 in beautiful Provo, Utah. This year's LETC will once again be hosted by at the Utah County Sheriff's Office outdoor range.
This exciting firearms instructor development camp is packed with over a dozen world class presentations from some of the top law enforcement trainers in the country! You'll attend classes with different instructors each day for 4 days and have an opportunity to network with fellow firearms instructors from agencies across the country.
The LETC also offers you an opportunity to show off your skills in the classic "Dirty Harry" pistol competition, where instructor students compete for prizes and bragging rights. In addition to the prizes offered for the match winners, we will also be giving away another DS Arms ZM4 5.56 rifle again this year at the banquet raffle!
There's no down time here! If you like to shoot, and your looking for a fun and exciting training conference to attend, the LETC is for you!

Spartan Tactical and the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division are proud to announce that we will have a vendor booth on display at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association's (ILEETA) 9th Annual Training Conference, April 16th - 21st, 2012, in Wheeling, Illinois.
We will be presenting the following courses at the 2012 ILEETA conference - Tactical Speed Shooting Instructor Development Course and the Emergency Trauma Management Instructor Course. We will also be giving away another DS Arms ZM4 5.56 rifle at the expo raffle again this year so be sure to buy some raffle tickets and take a shot and winning one of these excellent rifles!
This year's conference will be offering over 150 training tracks on dozens of law enforcement training topics. These classes fill quickly so be sure to get your ILEETA registration in early! Last year's conference sold out with over 750 instructors attending!
ILEETA's Executive Director, Harvey Hedden, is saying that this year's conference is going to sell out quickly and will be stopping registration at 800 students. Get registered ASAP and be sure to stop by and see us at our vendor expo.
