MATTHEW S. LITTLE FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR DEFENSIVE TACTICS INSTRUCTOR PROFESSIONAL VITA Matt is a Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department and has over 13 years of experience in law enforcement. He has served as a beat officer, tactical officer, special response team officer, firearms instructor and tactical trainer. He has also served on the High-Risk Entry course committee and the Tactical Policy committee, assisting both in program development. Matt is a United States Army veteran and has served with the 20th Special Forces Group and 1/75th Ranger Regiment. He has served as a private contractor with a major security contractor company and has recently returned from an executive protection detail in Iraq. He is a graduate of Calumet College and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law Enforcement Management. Matt is a certified firearms instructor with the State of Illinois and the Chicago Police Department. He is also a State of Illinois certified police defensive tactics instructor and graduate defensive tactics instructor from the F.B.I. / North Chicago Regional Training Center. He has numerous instructor certifications from: Simunition SNC Inc., Strategos, Taser, Monadnock, and ASP. Matt has over 25 years of martial arts experience to include Karate, Aikido, Tae-Kwon- Do, Jeet Kun Do, Aikijujutsu, Judo, Kali / Arnis, Gracie Jujutsu, Police Defensive Tactics and Special Forces Combatives. He is a certified U.S. Army Special Forces Close Quarter Combatives Instructor and has organized and instructed numerous martial arts seminars, private lessons and group courses. He is currently ranked Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate, Shodan (1st degree black belt) in Tae-Kwon-Do and Shodan (1st degree black belt) in Aikido.
