Pre-requisite: Sub-machinegun Operator Course or firearms training course of equivalent level demonstrating at least 24 to 40 hours of sub-machinegun training, at least 1000 rounds of live-fire drills completed and a passing score on a standard drill test or sub-machinegun qualification course.
Course Description: This 1-day firearms training course focuses on sub-machinegun
deployment techniques and use of the sub-machinegun
by officers responding to rapid deployment incidents.
With a startling increase of incidents involving
officers engaging heavily armed and armored assailants,
the necessity for long guns in police cruisers
has re-emerged with agencies across the country.
Law enforcement first responders will be the first line of defense when responding to active shooters, terrorist threats and Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD) incidents.
This firearms training course takes the student
beyond the basics of the sub-machinegun operator and introduces
the patrol officer and first responder to deployment
techniques that are critical when dealing with these types of incidents.

Firearms training safety rules review.
Principals of personal defense.
Rapid deployment methodology and concepts.
Mental conditioning and combat mindset.
- Enhanced tactical aptitude.
Review fundamentals of shooting a sub-machinegun.
The natural action stance.
Loading / unloading the sub-machinegun.
Review use of tactical sling systems.
Combat gun-handling skills.
Presentation from low ready, high ready
and indoor ready.
Moving off the line of force.
Threat assessment and area scanning.
Dominating the weapon, threat and visual
Ammunition management and reloading techniques.
Transition to secondary weapon system.
Malfunction clearance drills.
Engaging multiple threats.
Shooting on the move.
Close Quarter Battle (CQB) techniques.
Drugged assailant and body armor defeating
Use of the flash sight picture vs. perfect
- Enhanced tactical speed shooting concepts.
Front sight proximity shooting.
Weapon retention issues.
Man vs. man stress course - combined skills evaluation.
Combat sub-machinegun qualification course.
Course duration: 1 day (8 hours)

(Tuition fee includes all range fees)
Course student limit: 16
Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection,
ear protection, baseball type cap, duty belt with
holster and magazine carriers, duty pistol with
at least 3 magazines, sub-machinegun with at least
2 magazines, sling, knee pads, elbow pads and
(Body armor is required if it is part of your duty gear)
Recommended equipment: Rain gear, sunscreen,
insect repellent, hydration system and water.
Ammunition requirements: 600 rounds of subgun
(Ammunition is available for purchase upon request)
