He has extensive service as a patrol officer, rapid response officer, field-training officer and personal protection specialist and has also served as a control tactics instructor with the Physical Skills Unit at the Chicago Police Academy. a Steve is a certified control tactics instructor with the Chicago Police Department, certified defensive tactics instructor with Monadnock and certified instructor with the Thai Boxing Association of America. He holds firearms instructor certifications with Singleton International and the National Rifle Association. a Steve is a life long practioner of personal defense combatives and the martial arts. He has extensive training in Wing Chun Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Judo, Combat Do Jiu Jitsu and close quarter combatives.
