Post-Incident Legal Defense Support: This training curriculum meets ILETSB training standards. Curriculum materials; lesson plan, course itinerary, syllabus with SPO’s, student performance records, instructor certification credentials and list of supporting reference materials are available for post-incident legal defense depositions and legal defense litigation discovery.
Course Description: This
intense 5-day operator certification course focuses
on developing the required skills necessary to
safely deploy the MP-5 and UMP sub-machinegun
during tactical operations and personal defense
applications.
This firearms training course comprehensively covers
the operation of the MP-5 and UMP sub-machinegun
and provides students with the gun-handling skills
that are necessary to deploy these weapon systems
in an operator capacity.
Students that successfully
pass the operator standard drill, qualification
course and written test are eligible to receive
operator certification.
The

safety and safe gun-handling procedures.

Nomenclature
of the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Disassembly
and re-assembly of the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Preventive
maintenance & cleaning of the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Function
checking the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Mechanical
operation of the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Use
of tactical sling systems.
-
Sight
adjustment and zeroing.

Fundamentals
of shooting the MP-5 / UMP sub-machinegun.

Loading,
unloading and reloading the MP-5 / UMP subgun.

Semi-automatic operation of the MP-5 / UMP during semi-automatic fire.

Operating
the MP-5 / UMP during controlled automatic fire.

Malfunction
clearance techniques.

Course

Student
requirements: Note
pad and pen, eye
protection, ear protection, baseball type cap,
duty belt with holster and magazine carriers,
duty pistol with at least 3 magazines, MP-5
or UMP sub-machinegun
with iron sights and at least 2 magazines, sling, flashlight,
knee pads, elbow pads and gun cleaning kit.
Recommended
equipment:
Rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration
system, water, weapon-mounted flashlight and clothing
suitable for contact with the ground.
The tactical sling must allow the subgun to hang freely in front of the shooter.
All subguns used in this course require iron sights. Red dot sights and holographic sights will be allowed after completion of hours 1 thru 16.
Ammunition
requirements: 2000
rounds of subgun ammunition and 150 rounds
of handgun ammunition.
